		<description>Hey Kitch. This posting reminded me of &lt;a href="http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/nova/elegant/program.html" rel="nofollow"&gt;The Elegant Universe&lt;/a&gt;. You've probably seen it if you're interested in the kind of stuff you just wrote about, but on the outside chance that you haven't, it's totally worth a look/listen.  

In spite of not being 1) a TV person and 2) a science person, I came across a link to it one day (a couple of years ago now, I think), clicked on it, and three hours later had watched the whole thing. 

It's one of those things that messes with your head while you're watching it, and it does a great job of communicating very technical ideas to a lay audience. Of course, as a technical communicator, that part appealed to me greatly as well.
